SSI executives’ family member increases stake

The brother of two Saigon Securities Incorporation executives has increased his stake in SSI, Viet Nam’s largest brokerage.
Nguyen Manh Hung, the brother of general director and chairman Nguyen Duy Hung and deputy general director Nguyen Hong Nam, bought 100,000 shares to raise his stake to 1.74% from 1.67%, according to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange’s report on itswebsite Friday.
SSI also told the exchange its research and investment consultancy department manager, Do Thanh Huong, left the firm on April 1.
The exchange announced on its web site Friday SSI has raised its chartered capital to VND1.37 trillion (US$85 million) from VND1.2 trillion ($74.5 million).
The company didn’t disclose how its chartered capital was increased.
The stock closed Friday unchanged at VND56,000. (TN)
